Hollywood California

Well all good things have to come to an end - and our California Adventure has reached the end of the line.

However - we went out in style!

We are staying in the heart of Hollywood at The Renaissance Hotel which overlooks The Kodak Theatre where The Oscars are held every year.

We are very close to Grauman's Chinese Theatre which is famous for hosting thousands of premiere's over the decades, but also for the hand and feet prints that stars have left over the years and which are now displayed on a constant rota outside the front of the theatre.

On Saturday we traveled a little south and visited Disneyland which was the first of the theme parks opened by Walt Disney on 1955. Of course it has been updated many times since then, and the roller coasters in the "California Adventure" Theme park are every bit as challenging as in Florida.

On Sunday which was our last day in California as we had to be at LAX airport by 3 p.m. - we took a stretch limo around Beverly Hills, Bel Air and West Hollywood to go star spotting.

The funny thing was - that our limo was so long with dark tinted glass, that other tourists were taking pictures of us!

You can see more pictures from the last 2 days in L.A. on the next post.
