Well yesterday we left the Pacific Coast for a while and took an easterly route to Palm Springs.

The temperature has risen to about 110°F during the day and the breeze (when there is one) is warm and like opening the door to an oven when it is on full.
We have taken it much easier here and have been swimming and cooking on the barbecue rather than eating out at restaurants.
Tomorrow we plan to visit the Mount San Jacinto National Park which is on top of an 8,000 feet mountain - I am sure it will be much cooler there.
