Golfers at Dawn!
Before we left Palm Springs, we wanted to play the "Palm Golf Course" which weaves it's way through the hotel apartment complex that we have been staying in.
So we got up at 6.00 a.m. and had an early tee off time thinking that we would avoid the worst of the heat - we were wrong....
We came off eventually around 12.00 noon having played with a man from California for the best part of 5 hours.
We later found out from the local news channel that Palm Springs was the 2nd hottest place on PLANET EARTH that day - beaten only by Baghdad. I wonder how many mad dogs and Englishmen / Scotsman were playing golf at high noon in Baghdad that day?
But we still had a great time.
