Day 9: The Inn At Entrada

Well we have arrived in Utah!

And on the last part of the journey to Saint George last night we saw a lovely site in the distance over towards Zion as the red rocks were lit up by the sunset and a huge rainbow appeared. The heat of the day had caused thunder storms in the distance and the bright rainbow dropped its pot of gold just where we were headed.

Never found it though......

The house that we have rented (or Casita as they call it here) is on the outskirts of Saint George which is perfect because it gives us unrestricted views of the red rocks and the entrance to Snow Canyon from our bedroom windows and from the patio.

You can see the view we wake up to every morning in the photos below.

All these are taken literally outside on the patio and what a huge contrast from the Yosemite rocks which are made from white granite.

The weather is much warmer and today is to reach 95°F in the clear skies.

And after the long drive yesterday we are having a day at the house and later at the pool.
However on this part of the holiday we are self catering and so the only need to get back in the Chevy is to buy groceries.

We are reliably informed that this hotel is where the film "High School Musical 2" was filmed and although that means not a lot to me, the girls all seemed to know all the songs from it.

Dinner made by our resident new chef Laura and eaten out on the patio in the evening

And after dinner we take a trip to the pool and stay there until the sun sets in the west.

A very nice relaxing day doing not a lot in the sunshine. Perfect.
