Well all great things have to come to an end - and we have to leave today to fly home to (no doubt) wet Scotland.
But we made sure that we enjoyed every last minute of the sunshine, and all inclusive food and drink.
Like every other day we have been here - the sun was shining all day on the aqua coloured ocean with a warm sea breeze to cool us down.
There are so many water sports that we could have done here and just ran out of time to take up - but as the least strenuous was the good old fashioned pedalo - Fiona and I decided to sail out into the warm Indian Ocean and the reef....
Carolyn captured us in these pictures much nearer shore.
Later Carolyn and Fiona had their last dip in the ocean as the Saturday afternoon sun slowly began to sink in the west and our last day in paradise drew to a close.

The view from the beach onto the ocean is one we will remember through the dark days of winter - wishing that we could be back in Mauritius.

We had our last drinks and snacks at our suite in the late afternoon before being collected to leave for the airport at 6.30 p.m and the long flight back to the northern hemisphere and winter..

The whole week was simply a wonderful experience and so relaxing.
There were so many highlights - but one of the most notable things was that the Mauritian people are so friendly and hospitable.
Now all we have to do is get through the winter!
