Silver Wedding Celebration

Well it hardly seems possible, but Carolyn and Norman are now officially members of the Silver Wedding Club! 25 years that have flown but on reflection so much has changed. We now have 3 grown up ladies staying with us ( they won't leave!) and they are now embarking on careers and lives of their own already.
(Note: If you click on any of these pictures you can view them full size)

To celebrate this momentous occasion we assembled friends and family at the Ellisland House Hotel in Ayr for an evening and (for some at least) a very late night of memorable fun.

Good food, good company and lots of laughs were in plentiful supply.

The Ellisland House Hotel was selected because it has a separate hotel building across the road from the main hotel and it is essentially a large house which we booked out completely and therefore had a place to start the celebrations in the afternoon (read drinking) and finish them late into the wee hours (read more drinking) But it meant that everyone could relax and enjoy the summer weather before getting changed for dinner.

Both sets of parents were on hand to join in the party having celebrated 50th and 60th anniversaries themselves recently - us youngsters still have a long way to go!

Of course the 3 young Hunter girls were all looking very glamourous as you can see from these pictures

Here are some other pictures from the evening

Carolyn received a new diamond ring for her anniversary which she tried very hard to conceal from sight as you can see from this selection....

Eric tried a similar pose - but without the bling it somehow doesn't work...

At the end of the dinner everyone was cafefully positioned against the wall for the group photograph by our resident photographer. The first few shots had her in front of the camera trying in vain to get into position - but the final result can be seen here.
